That other recent pic of Light that I did was actually just a precursor to this one.
I just wanted to 'burtonize??' this anime, being very dark and twisted in itself.
And arg, there are too many CUTE!Strawberry!Ls. What happened to that dark awkwardness that so beautifully defined his character? I just can't see death note as being so fluffly and light........like a marshmellow.

So: presenting mine own interpretation of L's hair~
Yes, those are twirlies. I was cging his hair and then I just spontaneously started drawing twirlies, so I kept them.

and Light's hair is sooo fun to draw, seriously.

I love how you didn't do this in anime style, but instead used your own yet still retaining a certain anime-ish-ness.

I love this Burton style (actually what I said just before reading your description!) and I adore L's hair! It's a style that definitely suits the anime. Deserves a fave! :+favlove:
